My guess on the "unknown scene" is Hamlet III.4, with the Ghost hovering over Gertrude ("But look, amazement on thy mother sits") and Hamlet Jr. up against the wall in shock.

This is a great guess! I'm always interested in that scene if the Ghost can touch Gertrude.

I wonder if the unknown scene is in Measure for Measure, with the "Friar" lifting a swooning Isabella while Claudio stands around like the useless lump he is?

Ha! He *is* a useless lump isn't he? The robes definitely look Friar-y but I can't figure out what's going on with the other figure (armor?). A puzzle.

A Ph.D. friend of mine says she thinks it's Juliet being deposited in the tomb.

Considering Claudio in Much Ado and Claudius I have to wonder if someone named Claude owed Shakespeare money. In the Useless Lump trifecta, I am glad that an actual scholar wrote an article agreeing with my belief that Bertram is a catty Now You're Just Somebody That I Used to Know portrait of the Fair Youth.
